In 2025, SAIMA Corporation’s Tamper Resistant Fasteners “TRF” received this prestigious award.
We are truly honored, as it is one of the most highly respected design awards in Japan.
Receiving this award in the category of mechanical components is extremely rare.
SAIMA previously won the award in 2002 for our “310Slim Screw”,
and this year’s recognition for the tamper resistant fasteners TRF marks our second Good Design Award.
Developing screws that are used worldwide is a challenging yet fascinating endeavor.
This achievement was only possible because Japan has a unique concentration of
expertise in screw materials, production lines, molds, heat treatment, surface treatment, and secondary processing.
SAIMA alone cannot carry out all the stages of new screw development —
from ideation and design to prototyping and performance testing.
However, with the strong support of our domestic partner companies,
we were able to accelerate development, enabling rapid iterations and design refinements.
